I'll be new to the area, so I wanted to ask, is taking the MARTA to the airport from the Lindbergh station a good idea? I'm not familiar with the MARTA and didn't know how the commute was along with safety.

It's perfectly fine. Validated Marta parking at Lindbergh is $8/day or so.

MARTA to the Airport is one of the easiest and best ways to go. The Airport Station leads directly to the terminal. Safety should not be a concern, but do be aware of your surroundings.

Yeah, about half an hour. You can check the schedules on itsmarta.com. (Look for the red and gold lines; from Lindbergh south, they run the exact same route.)
