In Duluth is the stores all in one area? Walmart,Sam's, Tjmaxx, Marshalls, ross, the mall, etc.. or is it spread out?

Most of those things are all concentrated within a mile of each other in the Gwinnett Place area. That is in an unincorporated area of Gwinnett county sometimes referred to as Duluth.

If you live in the city limits of Duluth, it is often easier to visit big box retailers that are located in Johns Creek or Suwanee.

pretty much all the stores you mentioned are along Pleasant Hill Rd, between Buford Highway and I-85.

No, most of the Duluth area was built out in the late 80s early 90s. The store buildings are not all that new, but there is plenty of shopping around there.

As was mentioned before, most big box retailers are located along Pleasant Hill Road. If you want "new" (not sure why that would be relevant when it comes to big box stores..they're almost always all the same), you'd have to drive further out to around Mall of Georgia in Buford.
