The tree pollen will end early. The grass and weed will come later

Yeah I suffer from tree pollen allergy (which is what the OP is referring to I believe) and it will last until about April 10th at most this year after which we should be able to enjoy the outdoors again.

Don't drive with windows open, try to stay indoors, take shower after spending significant amount of time outside the house to wash off pollen, do laundry (including bedsheets) more frequently than usual, keep windows closed, take your regular dose of Claritin, Allegra or Zyrtec (whichever works for you). Keep a generic eyedrop handy for sudden/accidental attacks to remedy irritation of eyes. Keep Benadryl handy for those tough nights when you can't breathe and as a result can't sleep.

Got to say though, this year, due to a mild winter, has been good so far.

I guess about as long as usual. The pollen seems to not be visible by June or likely late May. I wouldn't count on April because it's almost the end of March and it just got started good.

I have a black car as well and knowing that pollen is a never-ending battle, I avoided getting it washed the last week because I knew hours later it would start to be covered again. Anyway, it had gotten embarrassing so I went to the car wash. Before I could get home good, the pollen had started to re-accumulate.

Fortunately, I don't seem to be allergic to the spring pollen. Whatever is floating around in the fall drives me nuts though.

The last couple of years I have started using Claritin and Flonase around Valentine's day in anticipation of pollen season, and, knock on wood, that has helped me to avoid the miserable allergy symptoms that I used to experience.

^ I agree starting before it fully begins helps a little.

ElleKaye - it was a very mild winter and trees/flowers started blooming a little early it seems which is why I am hoping it won't last long too this year.

I recently learned that, for most allergy sufferers, the Oak pollen is what causes the most misery. The Pine pollen is most visible (and very annoying) but it's much more benign.
