So I made a mistake....instead of a coffee date, I asked this woman out for a real first date. I met her at a speed dating thing. I want to do something fun and inexpensive. I know she likes the outdoors. Are there any good bars with a patio and not ridiculously priced drinks? Maybe some place with cool music (but not terribly loud)? I'm at a loss here. Was thinking about a comedy show, but thats not so great because we can't talk. Of course, it does get us laughing. Suggestions?

There are many options. You can go inline skating at Piedmont Park (skate escape rents skates), or do a cheap 2 hour paint class (living social had a $12/person deal a few weeks ago), have a light lunch and quick trip to the Woodruff art museum, play a round of disc (frisbee) golf at any of the dozen courses around the metro area (golf discs are ~$7-$15 each, and you only need one).

You could also try billiards, maybe some downtown exploration? Coca cola museum? Use your imagination

Leon's in Decatur. Best patio bar I've found. A lot of other stuff nearby if she's not into it. If she's really not into it, just send her to the conveniently located MARTA station.

Those are great ideas. I will use that frisbee one another time. This is an evening date, so most of those won't work.

Piedmont park. There is a bar in the southeast corner with great views of the skyline as the sunsets and the buildings light up. Drinks aren't too expensive.

That is definitely a possibility after dinner. What I did wrong was to not specify whether it was a dinner date or after dinner date. My bad. She's available at 6:00, so she has to be thinking dinner date. Oh well, just have to suck it up and spend the damn money I guess, lol.
