You're acting like the AUC (Morehouse, Spelman, Clark), Georgia Tech, GSU, and Emory don't attract people. No, Atlanta isn't a traditional college town, but there is no denying that these schools bring their own flavor to the city of Atlanta and has helped to shape the city, especially the AUC and Georgia Tech. You're right that perception is reality, but your perception is not the next mans reality. While Atlanta has been pumping out a ton of crappy music lately, it has traditionally pumped out very decent acts (Goodie mob, TLC, Outkast, Usher, etc) which has had a positive impact on Atlanta's image. But like i said before, every place doesn't have to be like East Village to be viewed as successful.

That is a great idea-plus include parts of Atlanta's indie arts and music scene and it might work.

But like i said before, every place doesn't have to be like East Village to be viewed as successful.

Atlanta may be viewed as successful by some people because it's where Usher was born or where Lisa Lopes burned a house down, but statistics show that it is not succeeding; indeed, it is failing, and at an alarmingly fast rate.
