How is the dating pool in the Canton, Alpharetta area? (Atlanta: salons, apartments)

I am moving into the mega subdivision Bridgemill and going going to school in Lawrenceville. I have heard the dating pool in Atlanta isn't very good. I am in my early 20's, no kids, mixed race(yellow bone). How is the dating pool and how do you approach it to find a good guy in the Canton, Woodstock, Alpharetta area?

It's not so much the dating pool as the lack of places to reliably meet singles outside of bars, clubs and churches. It's always hit or miss even in Atlanta and even worse in the suburbs. Some nights I'd go out just to hang in a local coffee shop and there were so many attractive single women it was difficult to chose and come back a week later to the same place and nadda.

Well, seeing how Bridgemill is famous for its swinger population, I'd say the dating pool there would be rather interesting......lol

I'm starting to think the swinger thing is just a rumor or its a small crowd of people who do it, my cousin and her fiance have lived there for 6 years with their daughter and they don't swing and they have only met one couple who swings. Also my bestfriend and her husband live in the apartments in Bridgemill and they haven't met any couples that swing.

Roughly speaking, it is easier to date ITP (inside the perimeter) than it is for someone OTP (outside the perimeter) in the age bracket you are in.

Basically once people are in their 30s and settled in (to have kids, etc), they tend to live in the suburbs where nightlife is much quieter. Of course, there are exceptions to what I just posted, but if you are into the bar scene, it is better to go closer to the city of Atlanta than it is out in Lawrenceville, Alpharetta, etc. so and so on.

I would go to Meetup.com and find meetings of people with interests like yours. That might help.

Go to Alpharetta. Chances are, they will have all their teeth or at least the best veneers money can buy. Also, less chance of you ending up on an episode of COPS with a guy named Cletus in a wife beater telling you to leave his rather, "wide across the beam" wife alone. You will be better off for the wear....not to worry, the chicks will be more accepting as they are always "experimenting" between frantic days at the salons....

Nahhhh, just kidding, pick a bar and watch over a few nights....the ones hollering the Georgia mating call,"I'm soooo derunkkk" will avail themselves shortly.
