We always liked R. Thomas in Buckhead. Are they no longer open?

Correct. Downtown Atlanta becomes a ghost town. If you want 24 hour eateries, you've got places like Marietta Diner (this place is PACKED at midnight) and Ken's Corner Grill (Smyrna) in the suburbs. Most ITP folks don't know about them (and never will).

The only true 24 hour cities in the USA are parts of NYC and Las Vegas, but even then, they are nothing compared to 24 hour metropolises like Bangkok, Cairo, etc. Hell, even Montreal at 2 am makes NYC look like a sleepy village.

You're right, there is no true 24 hour city in Atlanta. Like you said, even NYC and Vegas only have pockets here and there that are truly 24 hour. I have to take your word on some of the international cities, because I haven't been to them.

I realize Atlanta will never be 24 hour because it is so spread out. What I would really like to see, though, is for us to do something like Vegas and New York did. If we could take all the hodge podge 24 hour places located throghout the city and concentrate them in a single area, we could actually have a fairly decent 24 hour zone. I know you can't just order all the 24 hour places into a zone, I'm just saying it would be cool if they did somehow concentrate in a specific area.

Castleberry hill, Edgewood ave, Peachtree st, etc in downtown aren't ghost towns. We still have over140+ business open 24/7

That's the thing about suburbia. Folks out there are still kicking it long after the townies have hit the hay.

Sure they are spread out across Atlanta but technically we are a true 24 hour city by definition

I know the haters are going to be
No, we're not.

The "haters are mad" because of inane statements like this.

I don't understand why "24 hour city" is viewed as some kind of holy grail. I've rarely had trouble finding whatever I needed in Atlanta.
