Tell us what you like to do? Other than snow boarding lol. If you are a single, straight guy, you may do better to hang out in Buckhead. There are bars on Irby and E. Andrews off Roswell Road, and a few places further up Roswell Road. You may also want to check out East Atlanta.
There are also singles' sports leagues you might want to check out too.

Join the Atlanta Outdoor Club. They are always going off on bike rides, hikes, etc. Day trips to Stone Mountain, week long excursions to Peru, and everything in between.

Join a club! Seriously! Find something you're into and join an organization so you can meet some people with the same interests. If you don't have any hobbies, now is a good time to find one
Someone mentioned Atlanta Outdoor Club, and if you're the outdoorsy type, that's a good one! And the football games at bars is also a great idea. The Creative Loafing has a list of all types of clubs, get togethers, outings... check it out.
