It looks like that KPMG Report is prompting MARTA to make some major financial changes. Also, I didn't realize that Beverly Scott was offered a job to head up Boston's transit system.

We also have a new transit sheriff in town.

New MARTA CEO highly regarded at job he's leaving - Atlanta Business Chronicle

From what I've read, this guy has had experience in working with fiscally thrifty politicians, to say the least. Let's see if the state legislature & the governor actually learns to reach across the transportation aisle and work with the new MARTA leader.

Given the longstanding record during the last decade of the bubbas at the state capitol when it comes to bipartisanship, I won't be holding my breath.

No kidding. Both sides giving in some in order to reach a compromise is how it's supposed to work. However, some of our dear legislators of a certain political party don't do that any more.
