I didn't realize sales tax had reached 8%. I thought, it was 7%.

The sales tax varies by county and the base Georgia state tax rate is 4%. Most metro Atlanta counties are 7 but some(including mine) are 6% so I am still trying to figure out how/why they have gotten this thing up to 8% statewide.

Aren't FulCo and DeKalb 8% (don't forget MARTA's penny).
