As much as I'd like to win in football, I'll keep my degrees from a far superior, much more respected university and you can keep your football team that still doesn't have as many National Championships as GT. Also, how funny is it that GT has a National Championship more recently than UGA?

"Woof Woof?" Nah, son. I'm too smart to bark like a badly inbred breed of dog. However, that sadly inbred mascot does represent much of UGA's bandwagon fanbase.

As Matt Hinton of Rivals.com put it, “even for a breed with notorious cardiac and respiratory problems and zero tolerance for heat, the Ugas are beginning to resemble the mascot version of the royal hemophiliacs of Europe: Blue-blooded, inbred and increasingly feeble beyond function.”

^That suggests UGA peaked in '06 since it hasn't shown any forward progress in the last 5 yrs. That said, the school had a lot further to go since I remember my 7th grade SAT in the mid '90's put me above the median score for a UGA freshman despite not having taken any HS math yet. HOPE is a hell of a motivator I guess.

Meaning?

And KSU's figure for UGA in 2001 is incorrect. It should read 1201. And West Georgia didn't go from 1201 to 993 over 10 years. Clearly KSU flipped the numbers.

So much for KSU "research".

Most schools including UGA seem to be asymptotically rising and will likely level off. GT and UGA don't have much room for improvement and I don't see any other school breaking from the lower pack and rising to near UGA's level in the near future.

For those of you skimming, Mishap is referring to the 2006 average SAT being a 1222 and the 2011 being a 1221.

Actually, UGA "peaked" in 2010 when it's SAT score matched Georgia Tech at 1340.

Average SAT scores fluctuate a little by year as per applicant pool. Variables can include local economic recession to an easy math section on the SAT. What you're not seeing here are other aspects of the application (i.e. GPA, average number of AP/honors courses)

Class of 2012 had an average 3.83 GPA

The change is still 22% over 10 years which is substantial compared to other institutions and the average.

Well done Mathman! I cross-referenced, but I didn't catch that.

I guess gtcorndog isn't the only one who doesn't appreciate UGA's growth!

What am I missing? The chart I see says 1340 for 2010 for GT...and right below.....1233 for UGA
