Westside's Story: Apartment Influx Is Coming Soon - Development du Jour - Curbed Atlanta
With all these apartment complexes being built, an estimated 400 apartments being added, isn't time for West Midtown to get some form of rail-based transit?

It's those California architects. It does look kind of L.A.

Atlanta could use a little more color.

Correction.....there are tons of affordable apartments in Atlanta if you are willing to accept
1. that some of these places are in the hood
2. that you get what you pay for (infestations, commute times other fees in addition to cheaper rent)
3. "affordable" has different meanings

and while were on the subject anyone familiar with these apartment complexes

Intown Lofts or The Envoy?

I found an apartment for less than 600, water included and Was/dry in the unit BUT.......the area looks like Omar and Marlo will knock on the door and ask to borrow some paper towel.

Yikes. Between this, the 700+ units planned across 400 next to the Prominence building and the alarming "if you build it, they will come" mentality prevalent with apartment developers right now, there has to be some kind of reckoning. In addition to oversupply, straining the already fragile infrastructures and feeding more cars into existing traffic chokepoints, we just should not want another steel and glass apartment tower.

With all of this development, somebody has to be left holding the bag at some point in the not too distant future....

EDIT: How un-Atlantan of me to fail to include Dante's being tossed aside for....wait for it....another apartment tower.

The area is well served by MARTA.
