I think Midtown has pretty decent grocery shopping. I am 2 blocks to Publix. It also has Trader Joe's and Whole Foods is not far.

Excellent! The conversation was quite intense: more than one person speaking at a time, tangents, etc. It's quite possible that I misheard a fact here and there.

To my way of thinking, that's how it should be. People who choose to live on the fringes of the metro area do so because they want to be as far away from Atlanta as possible while still taking advantage of the benefits of being in a major metro area, so let them stay away from this forum. They aren't missed.
In a couple of weeks, I'll be one of those fringe residents. I don't mind working in the city, but have determined that I am not happy living here. I will, however, still visit this forum, so you won't have the opportunity to miss me. I'll be the person who determines whether there's anything here for me, thankyouverymch.

Nowhere in my post did I say, or even hint, that I was the one who determined anything for anyone.

Where are you moving to? I recall you were looking up in northern burbs and did a bunch of research. PM if you'd like. Thanks

I'm really impressed by the turnout. I didn't think there were 80-something posters on the Atlanta forum altogether. I'm kind of surprised that there aren't more Atlanta suburb ITP residents. I expected more people from College Park, East Point, Decatur, etc.

It would also be interesting to find out if the OTP residents live predominantly in the northern, eastern, western, or southern suburbs. My guess would be the north...

That open lot on Ivan Allen and Centennial Olympic Park is just begging for a 24-hour grocery store. People in Allen Plaza, Centennial Hill, and Vine City would probably appreciate that

I can see Atlanta from my house...just over the line in unincorporated Dekalb. Literally, the line is just past my back yard
