My only complaint about midtown is that they still wont allow more density (highrises) near the park. They need higher density to make transit more of a reality

The Northern end of the park may be the only place where this could happen imo.

The entire Ansley Mall area could be turned into a landmark with good design on the scale of Ponce City Market.

Been shopping in Ansley Mall for 22 years now. It's not very pretty (okay, it's sorta ugly...), but as a resident local to the area, the Piedmont / Monroe area traffic can be pretty darn bad as it is. I'd hate to see a redevelopment that resulted in yet more traffic in the area. Ugh! But, something thoughtful and well planned to integrate into the neighborhoods (Ansley Park, Piedmont Heights, Morningside) might be very welcome.

But some of that could be relieved by a transit stop behind Ansley Park Mall on the BeltLine.

Absolutely. The neighborhoods are in favor of that!
