George Hooks, whom I personally know, is very respected by his constituents and others in State government. Heck, Vince Dooley went to Auburn, too!

I know. Vince Dooley isn't on the Georgia Board of Regents though. I just found it unusual. I'm not saying he's unqualified because he didn't go to a Georgia school.

Please tell Mr. Hooks that the students of USG schools need his help now more than ever and to please not fall victim to cronyism and the good ole boy network. Those crooks trying to disenfranchise their own constituents. Diabetes and heart attacks have never been more of a friend. Make your mark cardiovascular disease! I call for your aid.

Does it really matter? If all the board members were grads from GA colleges, there would be cries of favoritism, or complaints that we may be missing out on quality candidates by limiting ourselves to only GA grads.

I was interested in the mix of alumni from various Georgia universities, especially if the issue arises of whether Georgia State should get a medical school (and it should: Grady ).
