Nope...it affects neither my taxes nor my commute. But it is affecting you it seems.

I think the whole stadium thing is something people need to factor in, certainly. How they factor it in is their own business.

Agreed. Big baseball fans may want to take that risk since being closer to the stadium will save you time getting to games.

Yup. I used to live in Bloomington MN a little over a mile from the old Met Center where the North Stars played. Nice for walking to the occasional game.

The key was to live far enough away from the drunken hockey crowds so as to not get your tires slashed in the parking lot. :-) In my case, the underground parking helped with security also.

I lived across the street from Georgia Tech's football stadium for a couple of years. Having to plan your day around massive crowds and noise for the entire length of a sports season will get very old very quickly for a lot of homeowners.

No matter how many ways I try to think of ways to avoid issues... I see baseball games coming to the Cumberland area as a near-crisis waiting to happen.

I do not have much faith in Cobb County's ability to solve the issues. City planning is not their strong suit, IMO.

Tech has maybe 5 home games each year. I wouldn't think that is much of a hassle when you consider the other 360 days are off days.
