Does anyone know anything about this community? It is near the intersection of Bolton and Marietta and all of the houses seem very nice, average price of high $200ks. It seems to be a nice neighborhood and they are single family houses with yards, which sadly kind of seems rare in Atlanta in the range of high 100s up to 250k.

Is a house that much worth the area? How is the crime? I was driving around and noticed the CSX train terminal... how active is this and is it loud?

We have friends who bought in the same area and like it. I believe the same developer also did Dupont Commons which is right down the street. For new homes in that price range (or newer) its a good option in an area that seems decent and getting better. I believe a Publix is going in near as well.

The railroad yard is just that so they don't blow their horns and for most people it wouldn't be a big deal.

Be aware that there are two water treatment plants in that area - the Atlanta one is at the corner of Bolton and Marietta. There is a Cobb sewage treatment plant slightly up the road on Atlanta Rd. The area stinks at times. I know I've seen stories about residents complaining about the smell, although I'm not too sure how often it is obnoxious.

I have also heard rumors about the Publix. It was supposed to go in before the market crashed. I've heard that they are going to put it in again, but I haven't seen any physical activity yet.
