Well, I am looking for a 2 bedroom apartment to rent near Georgia State. I am going to rent it with one other roomate (he is attending Georgia Tech). Preferably 2 bedroom 1 bath (maybe 2).

I know several students that commute to GSU from Atlanta, but they live pretty far for my taste. I was wondering what are some of the safest areas of Atlanta near GSU, and preferably close to MARTA.

Thanks.

I would try the Pencil Factory Lofts or Ashley Auburn Pointe, in walking distance to King Memorial Marta Train Station, and Five Minute walk to GSU. Also Marta buses 21,99, and 186 runs by the apartments. I have lived at Ashley Auburn for two years, and renting out my other room to two GSU students before.

Hopefully it is not too high but current market rate is 1079.00 for 2 bedroom/ 2 bath, but they are really nice, and should be affordable with a roommate. I was able to renew for 1025.00. When I first moved in it was 925.00 in 2010. But nice apartments are really in demand for young people Downtown.

No utilities are not included, generally both water and GA Power runs me about 120.00 a month and I run the heat and air alot. The water was cheaper but the city went up for sewage fees. The gym is okay, but I joined LA Fitness because of the lack of Free weights.

I was afraid of the lack of free weights when I saw some pictures, but I'll look into it, thanks

Look into west midtown, I wasn't a huge fan of the pencil factory. To much of a dormy feel, there are no washer machines in the rooms. you have to walk to the end of the hall.
