There probably is, but it would likely require tearing down some warehouses or industrial buildings.

Beltline gets new self-storage facility and coffee shop.

Quote:
"What used to be a product known for unattractive metal buildings with storage subject to environmental conditions has evolved to an asset class that is architecturally attractive, many with modern retail storefronts offering coffee and WiFi services, with climate-controlled, secure space in upscale or burgeoning communities," said Jeff Stein, the firm's founder and principal. “The reality today is that there are Atlanta submarkets—both in town and suburban—that fall well below the national average of 7 square feet of self-storage space per person, which is even higher in urban markets.”

Nice! I was a little concerned about a self storage facility going in. But this shows you can make an appealing design out of just about anything. Fuqua should take some notes.

Connect 400 (if I got the name right), the Beltline, Silver Comet, Stone Mountain PATH, Cycle Atlanta improvements, Riverwalk Atlanta, and I believe I am forgetting some other proposed ideas. I read something about Proctor Creek.

Anyways, by the time I die and >IF< we don't screw it up, Atlanta is going to be an indisputable top tier city in the US.

Are they still planning to add transit to the Beltline someday? I haven't heard much about that in a while.

I heard they voted on it and ended up scrapping the Transit portion at the last meeting.

j/k
From all the updates I see, transit is always considered in planning and property acquisition, so I assume it is still on. Maybe more will come out with Mayor Reed's super secret transportation plan/tax?
