One of Atlanta's most historic skyscrapers, built in the international style popular at the time. I would like to see them pull it off.

I hope this renovation plan comes off as well. I worked in the Equitable building years ago and really enjoyed it. It was so convenient to everything.

I thought GA State University purchased this building a few years ago.

They didn't, although I believe they were considering it. A lot of people who post here were saying they should buy it.

This is exciting. $85 million is a pretty humongous renovation for a single building. The Equitable has been one of Atlanta's iconic skyscrapers for nearly 50 years.

GSU was close to buying it but they failed to keep it quiet and it leaked to the press. Guess another buyer got wind of the steal price and outbid GSU. Too bad though because it would have been a perfect fit for GSU along with its proposed new Business Classroom building across the street from it. It would have made for a great iconic building for GSU.

Anyway, hope the new owners get burned and go bankrupt.

Last I've heard, they will change the name.

Maybe this will help with what I've wanted to do for a long time: clean up Woodruff Park.

Such nice views of the park from the Equitable building.
