Trying to decide on where to go for my birthday dinner...a little confused. Is Rathbun's in the same area as Kevin Rathbun Steaks? What is the difference? I want steak...which would you recommend?
Ratbun's?
Kevin Rathbun Steaks?

Yes both restaurants are in the same neighborhood but they are two separate restaurants. They are about a block from one another.

Dinner Menu - *Rathbun's Restaurant

Menu - Kevin Rathbun Steak

And he has a Spanish wine bar and tapas just outside of Rathnun's Menu - Krog Bar by Chef Kevin Rathbun

If you want a steak, go to his steakhouse since that is what he specializes in. Both are excellent choices, just look at the menu and decide.

I agree with George. Last year on my 40th birthday weekend I went to Rathbun's and then Rathbun's Steak the next night. I had a steak both nights, and although they were both very good the one at Steak was better.

If they still have the chocolate covered mint chocolate chip ice cream balls, get them. One of the best desserts I've ever had.

On a side note, it's so bizarre to me to think that the building Steak is in used to be a place where hundreds of rock bands used to practice (The Black Box). They must have pressure washed and fumigated that place for months to clean up the mess.

Kevin Rathbun Steak is more expensive than Rathbun's, but the food is also of a better quality.
