Totally agree. Who could file those locations though?

That station is very interesting but it seems to be unsafe like Ashby & Vine City

Safety maybe more of an issue than say Lindbergh but they are not what I would call unsafe either.Level of caution is higher but its not unsafe.I live near there and I walk to those stations all the time.I also have tenants who are women who walk there also.Im talking about those immediate areas surrounding the stations.

Its the broken window syndrome.
Its all in how people perceive an area.

Call me crazy but I would like to see the land around Bankhead station be developed. Might help turn the area around.

Not an awful idea since there is nothing around that station. I'm surprised every time I drive by it that a station was built there. I guess there used to be huge projects around there that have since been torn down (right?). I'm not exactly sure what developer would be interested in that area though. That will be a hard sell. It isn't like you are redeveloping an area that is bordering a nice area. This would be an island in some pretty nasty areas. It isn't close enough to downtown to be that desirable. It isn't really close to anything nice. The more I think about it... this might not be a good idea.

It's got good transit access to Downtown, and a Park. It might work.

Perhaps... but the numbers would have to work. Who is the market the developer would target? It would have to be single or married people without kids because the schools over there are awful. I would have to think it would have to target lower to middle income families/individuals. Perhaps if they built some cheap $100k condos or townhomes, they might be able to find a market... but it still seems like a bit of a stretch. There are some new condo developments near the West End in that price range that have been selling for close to 5 years now. Those are in a better area (still not very good), are at a very low price point and apparently aren't selling that well given how long they've been on the market. It seems like a stretch, but that is just my opinion though.

There was supposed to be a highrise hotel going in there, but that project was put on hold, so who knows when that will ever happen. Hopefully it will end up with some more varied use than that.

The vacant lot next to the Dunwoody station is really begging for something huge... I'd say it's one of the most promising pieces of land in the entire metro. That whole block was supposed to get an Atlantic-station style overhaul several years ago, but that never happened either.

I don't think either of those areas is going to need MARTA's encouragement to be developed (and as far as I know MARTA doesn't own that land anyway)... since things are starting up again I'm sure that whole area is going to be active soon.

Now this I do remember and it would have been great for the area. Maybe soon though.
