I deal with that all the time. drives me nuts. The problem I have is with the forums and websites who don't allow free speech on all sides. They allow a right-winger to express himself but if someone refutes him, he's banned and his comment is removed.

You will always have those who complain about anything. From public transportation to anything positive, no matter what. They won't complain about the things which are really screwing them.

Excellent news. I love seeing these small neighborhood parks tucked into dense residential areas.

Great news. Buckhead is so sorely lacking in park space.

And I hope one will be able to walk to the park with their children if they live in that area. Hope they consider that. I hate living five monutes away from something and still have to jump in the car because walking is not possible.

You must wonder if someone at the City of Atlanta proposed a park to secretly hold land for a developer. It just don't seems right to have a such a high prime real estate location to go toward such a small park. I agree with having park and being green, but couldn't the land be use to fetch many millions more for a good development.

How would that make sense? They can't just sell a park two years down the line.

2.5 acres is actually a pretty good sizes for a neighborhood park. Many other parks in the city are much smaller than that.

City of Atlanta, GA : List of Parks, alphabetical

The price seems fairly reasonable -- about $470K an acre. I would think that's within the range for residential land, especially since this lot backs up to the freeway.
