All have made excellent suggestions. I love the Atlanta History Center and the Swan House is top notch - ecept for the top of the main stairway - kind creepy, or eerie. They always tell you this is the spot where Mr Swan )or whatever his name was) dropped dead of a heart attack. Other than that, very cool.

The High Museum is always cool. Grab a quick bite for lunch at the OK Cafe (not far from the history center). You will almost always see someone famous in there. The Buckhead Diner is cool as well.

Grab a drink at the Sun Dial, top of the Westin Hotel. The view ends. If you are looking for cool furnishings fro your house, go to the designer shops at Miami Circle. It is better than shopping in stores and even if you do not buy anything it is amazing to see what people are putting in their homes. I have a replica of a Remington bronze (The Bronco Rider) I got for $125. The real one was about 100K and a copy is usually 1500. Just one example.

Drive up to Helen, or take in Amicalola Falls. Amazing.

Every Friday the Atlanta Journal Constituion (AJC) publishes a "weekend best bets" - of everything going on from art festivals, beer crawls, plays, concerts etc. I almost always find something cool each weekend to do that I had no idea was happending. I just google "AJC weekend best bets" and the date that Friday and it's the first link. For example, here's this past weekend's just as a guide of what to expect. Weekend best bets: March 16-18 | Best Of The Big A
