It seems like nowadays it's hard to get a job for a lot of people and obviously if you have anything on your record, it slims your chances. I got two misdemeanor marijuana charges from 2009(a hole cops gave me a second one when they illegallly searched my car for 15 min and found a 1cm roach w prob one speck of herb in it, I deserved the first one) that are on my record here in Florida and I've been wanting to move to ATL or Houston. I talked to a guy from Houston yesterday and he said they are really strict in Texas about that. He said in Texas it might count as a felony and that probably no one would hire me.

Shoot, atleast I got a job down here in South FL, looks like I might just be stuck here. You think employers are going to automatically decline me in Atlanta because of that???

A cop illegally searched your car. What? I hate it when that happens. Especially, when like you, I have a drug charge, and I have illegal substances in my car all the time. I mean, how am I going to get it from point A to point B? You know?! You definitely did not deserve the second charge. Who gets charged for a speck of herb? Nobody! Punk cop!

Come here dude, now! Believe, there are enough rapper employers hiring cats with all types of cases. I'm at work smoking a fatty right now! Nobody cares about your record here. You might even get a record deal! We running thangs in the ATL!

I'm digging the entertainment value in this thread. I approve!

I don't think it will be that big of a deterrent you having a couple misdemeanors on your record as long as you have some sort of skills which would make you employable in the first place. If you don't have any skills then the charges will obviously carry more weight.

Stop telling strangers on the internet about your drug habits though.

How many threads are you going to make about moving to ATL? Why couldn't you have added this to your existing thread?
