Good Morning All!

I am doing some research on moving to Atlanta for a possible job transfer and would appreciate some advice to help decide if this is a feasible move to make. This may be a great oppurtunity to start small and then move up with my current employer. Here is some info about our family:

Family Size: Mom and 12 yr old for now (dad may be joining later - dependent on job transfer) and a little black dog

1. Budget - rental budget $700 - $900
2. House/Condo/Townhome? pet friendly apartment or townhome
3. Employment Status(commute/work from home) commute to Peachtree Center
4. Children(public school vs. private) great public middle school
5. Suburban or Urban lifestyle preference or a mix of the two: Urban - parks, grocery shopping, entertainment, dining within walking distance
6. Easy access to public transit, important or not? Easy access to MARTA would be awesome! I hate driving and would actually prefer not to even bring my jeep with me
7. Preferable demographics of desired neighborhood. I am a 29 yr old white female with a 12 yr old boy, so I would prefer to avoid neighborhoods full of frat parties and bingo parlors. I would love to live in a Safe neighborhood with record shops and lots of ethnic restaurants (so I never have to cook. lol) but nothing too trendy. Clubs and activities for children and a place to walk the dog at night. Race isn't an issue with me and I don't want to live in a neighborhood where it is.

If any of this makes any sense to anyone - advice is welcomed and greatly appreciated!! Please let me know if I left out any important details or info.

Thanks again in advance!!

What does $30,000 signify exactly? Your income?

BINGO parlors?

Can't say that's an issue anywhere in metro Atlanta! LOL.
