You asked in another post about commuting to a job in LaGrange. I said Peachtree City was not a good choice to live to make that commute compared to Nrwnan because it would add 20-30 minutes just getting to I-85.

Maybe if you consulted a map and considered the locations of all these places it would make more sense to you?

If the Tea Party movement and golfing are hip and happening then yeah, Peachtree City is the hippest place you'll find. For a single young adult however, not so much (and I lived there though all my teen years and most of my 20's having parents who still live there).

And now you live in Augusta?! Man, you're really moving up in the world ... LOL

As conservative as Augusta is, it still has a leg up on PTC. There are pockets of progressive areas near downtown and a couple older neighborhood. You have to drive almost an hour north to Atlanta to find anything remotely hip near Peachtree City. Go less then 10 minutes south of it and your in one of the most religious and conservative spots in the state (Brooks). Not that I find the Augusta area my ideal place to live. If I were to live anywhere in the South, I would go with the Triangle in NC.

PTC is part of Fayette County which is quickly going down the hill (look no further than the eastern half of the county).

PTC peaked in the 90's but nobody who lives there will admit it.

Tea Party? Are you exaggerating? (seriously asking)

Nope, not exaggerating. PTC is one of the most conservative spots in GA (both fiscally and socially) and the Tea Party has a very big presence there.

LOTS of airline personnel there. Don't know if they are conservative or not.
