I don't understand....is this person looking for ideas on how to obtain money, or hoping that someone here is actually going to get her information and GIVE her money?

It sounds like she is shooting down all the viable ideas people are providing, which reminds me of a panhandler who has every excuse in the book when you explain to him how to obtain free housing and meals through the proper channels.

If you're looking for ideas, we are happy to help, and I think that I provided a few viable options for people in real trouble (bank loans, car title loans, payday loans, credit card loans, pawning possessions, borrowing from retirement plan, etc.), but nobody on an internet board full of people you don't know is just going to hand you over money because you asked. Especially when you have never been an active poster on here in the past.

Moving forward, you should get a bank account, use direct deposit from your job, and write checks for rent.

Of course, I agree with others that this not a real post, so I'm not even sure why I am answering as if it was.

Just like the rest of us who did answer, wanting to help if possible. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I have asked. I work for a contracting company and we are not aloud over 40 hours or advances no matter what! They are very stern with their rules.

I like this suggestion!

Payday often just doesn't line up with bills. Or, perhaps, OP could ask the landlord to adjust her rent due date to better line up with pay day, etc.

Also, what state are you in? Usually most states have some sort of time schedule for evictions. Usually they have to follow a procedure, such as give you written notification, then so many days, etc. That alone could buy you time.

I also own rental property. I know its a royal pain to re-let a unit, and expensive. I would rather let someone be late once than have a unit sit vacant while I go through the hassle and expense of advertising, utilities in my name, cleaning, yadda, yadda......usually the tennant has more options than they realize.

Is there a 211 or 311 service in your area? They provide information about social services, nearest food banks, etc. Perhaps they would have suggestions....

The OP isn't "shooting down" suggestions, just responding with why they won't work for her. To get a checking/savings account, one must have good credit, and there's fees involved. An advance on pay isn't always an option. The "fairy tales" we comfort ourselves with are just that, fairy tales, there is no Santa Claus!

Do an internet search for local charities. Call local homeless shelters and food banks and ask if they have any resources they could point you to. I don't know anything about Georgia's social services, but maybe you qualify for housing assistance or food stamps or the like

Whatever you do, don't get a pay-day loan, unless you want to never be able to afford anything again. They are simply traps. Go to someplace reputable (with realistic interest rates, nothing ever over 20%!!!! Even 15% is terrible) and see if they have some kind of loan they could give you. If you already have a bank that you use, although it sounds like you might not, start with them first.

As others have said before: pay the rent first!!! Contact your utilities and ask if they have assistance programs. Many do. Current loans (educational, etc.) can sometimes have payments be put on hold if you contact them.
See if any jewelry is sellable at a reputable shop. If you use pawn shops, compare offers between shops. Get yourself out of the current situation and make a logical, realistic plan for the future for both you and your children's sakes. Recognize what material things you can live without and sell them. Check out providentliving.org

Best of luck, and hearing all the rudeness you've encountered on here makes me NOT want to move to Atlanta. Seriously, yes, you may sound scam-ish, but what aspect of our public education actually teaches people what to do if they're stuck financially? Not much that I ever encountered, which is why people actually use payday loans. Besides, when people are stressed, they tend to not think clearly and realistically.

You really just made my day so much better. It is very comforting to hear from people such as yourself. Thank you so much, not only for the encouragment but for the time you put into actually responding to me.
It means more to me than you will ever know.

Whatever you do, do NOT make a partial payment on the rent. It might sound good, a good-faith effort. However, if you do not pay the full amount by the due date, they can still start eviction proceedings. Might as well keep any partial payments for other necessities while trying to find the means to pay the rent. Otherwise, you have just lost whatever partial payments, and still face eviction proceedings. They can only evict you once
