It was hot as hell today (to me) and I have been craving real ice cream. None of that crap from the store. Any recommendations on where to go?

If youre a fan of gelato (and I am), try Paolos in Virginia-Highland.

Ditto to Paolos and Morelli's. I will add Jake's Ice Cream- Home to the list too.

Another vote for Morellis! Don't forget, you don't need to go downtown for Morellis... theres a branch inside the Farm Burger in Dunwoody

For store ice cream, I recommend Ciao Bella. Seriously good stuff if you really can't go to an ice cream parlor. Available at Whole Foods, Dekalb Farmers Market, and some Super Targets.

King of Pops is good, but popsicles are not ice cream.

Morelli's is good stuff. Same basic concept as Brewsters, but they have more adventurous flavors.

Jake's on Irwin St.

I actually prefer Morelli's but it's already been mentioned a couple times, and Jake's is also very good.
