MARTA is really trying to turn things around. Hopefully the State hops on board and helps them out one day.

They are reopening restrooms and we won't have a fare increase this year.

I'd love to know how much closing restrooms ever saved them to begin with.

That was typical MARTA short-sightedness....make the experience much more miserable to save meaningless pennies.

Hopefully the new leadership has new vision. Sounds like they are on the right track.

The restroom closing had more to do with Homeland Security. MTA had no restrooms when I was there, we should be glad there are restrooms at terminal stations and transfer stations.
Yeah for a sustainable future. I would be all for keeping fares as is and implementing a distance based fare program. But keeping monthly passes low, reward those that use MARTA everyday.

Bottom line, Keith Parker gets it! Not just how to run the agency but the political aspect too. He's got a tough job ahead but he understands it and is, so far, making great choices.

Keith Parker is some type of miracle healer or something. The future of Marta looks a lot better than it has for a long time. Now if only we could get ridership back up.

I love this. So many times I have needed to use a bathroom at Inman Park Station. No fare increase, absolutely necessary. It is way too high as is.

Looking forward to a distance based fare proposal. Would be so nice to be able to use the train for short hops in town without paying the same price as someone going to the airport from Sandy Springs.

Know that most bathrooms will only be open till 7pm. That's the rules now, with the exception of Five Points and Lindbergh Center Stations.
