Suggestions for MARTA (from an outsider point of view) (Atlanta: neighborhoods, buy)

-Change the name. MARTA sounds kinda ... idk I cant explain it and it has a negative connotation.
-Change the colors, make it look cooler, more modern, sleek.

Atlanta is a city that's auto centric and most people will want to just drive. If people do park their car and ride MARTA it has to have appeal. I also recommend having padded seats but idk if they would get torn by
ghetto people who don't like to have nice things.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the name or colors itself. But I think there could be a lot of benefit to re-branding the organization as part of a process to get the more suburban counties to consolidate their transit systems in and start supporting and funding it. I can see how politically the suburbs could spin that as a win for them to get buy in as something that they are part of owning; rather than this thing from the city center that is invading their area.

Atlanta metro is auto centric. There are plenty of neighborhoods and people that live car-free or semi-car-free.

And for that matter every U.S. city is auto-centric...even the ones with superior transit systems. The majority drive cars in every metro in the U.S., making them auto-centric.

Every city is auto centric. If your statement was true it wouldnt be a need for toll rds, bridges, etc.

MARTA had padded seats, but they kept getting ripped up. I guess people in SF can resist the temptation.

I'd change that annoying sound of the MARTA train horn.

That discussion was created due to feedback, as well as the fact that folks are starting to post MARTA topics too frequently, resulting in too many discussions about the same general topic in the room.
