See, the thing about Charlotte is that it is known for NASCAR. Besides the Hall of Fame, almost every team is positioned within the county that Charlotte resides in, or in neighboring counties, and that is where the tourists are going to go. They aren't going to care about riding a Ferris Wheel that overlooks DEI, or Richard Childress' vineyards, or the Hendricks garage, etc. Charlotte is a destination because of NASCAR.

On the other hand, ATL has a lot of venues but not one thing that it is known for above everything, that people will make a pilgrimage to see, unless you count Stone Mountain. So you have to hope that the people going there will also want to see the zoo, the aquarium, the Coca-Cola venue, Centennial Park, and/or the Ferris Wheel while they are here.

I have no doubt that there will be lines waiting. I just don't think the attraction, in and of itself, will bring hordes here, when every county fair in the country has a ferris wheel they can ride.

No, not as long as you're within the zoning code and there's not some private agreement about views and height limitations.

However, I would think a Ferris wheel would be treated differently.

And that has helped with the density of DC.

LV copies so many cultutres in different hotels because that IS their culture - a uniqueness all its own.

You don't have to be a gambler to go there, and you don't have to have a lot of money, because flights are cheap and the hotels are cheaper, and the food is worldy - you can get a great Prime Rib for $1.99 or a five-course meal at a famous chef's restaurant for over $500. The sky is the limit in Vegas.

Just saying. ATL could only pray to be so lucky as to be compared to LV.
Sheeeeeet lol. It was 114 degrees this weekend in LV

I hate when people say "But it's a dry heat!" Yea.......blow-torches and ovens are dry heat too. It's still HORRIBLE, especially when it gets over 110 <--at that point, it doesn't matter if it's dry or humid, it's still ridiculous.

And SN, don't you guys just love how someone who lives in MACON is trying to 'stick it' to Atlanta? LMAO
