Obviously you guys must know of some Indian men in Atlanta that are Westernised and Americanized, have they had issues dating interracial with White women too?

I put emphasis on White women because I used to be in Augusta for a while where I dated beautiful Latina, mixed race, and even a stunning Persian girl with no problems but White women seemed to just step away from me or any foreign looking man.

See, to me Indian food is a treat, I rarely get to have it, and notice I do sometimes have a smell going for me when I do have it. My diet constantly mostly of American foods and that is why I am concerned. I want to have a broad dating pool but in Augusta, when I was there, the White females just pretty much excluded me and many of them stayed away from me like I am some guy from another planet.

...There's a HUGE difference between the dating scene in a much more traditional, much smaller and much more culturally conservative Southern town of only a few-hundred-thousand people like Augusta (where interracial dating of any kind may still be frowned upon in some quarters) and the dating scene in an increasingly cosmopolitan major metro area of 6 million like Atlanta.

The difference between the dating scenes in a small traditional Southern city like Augusta and a large cosmopolitan and increasingly-ultradiverse metro area like Atlanta is like the difference between the dating scenes in Kalispell, Montana and Los Angeles, California...HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!

I know some Westernized and Americanized East Indian men in Atlanta and they didn't seem to have any problems dating white women from what I could tell.

But to tell the truth, it's honestly not anything that I had paid attention or given much thought to until now (today to be exact).

I mean, you make a point in your earlier post that white men and East Indian women seem to be a much more common combination than East Indian men and white women.

There are areas of Metro Atlanta, both inside I-285 in the city and far outside of I-285 in the outer suburbs, where interracing dating of all combinations has become pretty common, particularly with younger people.

So you should be able to find whatever type of dating setup you're looking for as an East Indian man dating white women is pretty tame and conservative compared to some of the wilder stuff that some people partake in in a city/metro as large as Atlanta.

Augusta is definitely behind Atlanta in a lot of ways, but I don't think interracial dating is one of them... I don't think you can draw any solid conclusions based on one perspective. You would have to look at the percentage of interracial couples in each county or metro area first

Well, pursue your graduate training, become an expert in your field, and I bet you'll find that women of all races are attracted to your success and solid work ethic. And keep in reasonable physical shape--that helps too.

I'm white and I dated an Indian man for a while when I was single. He was an investment banker. I don't think I would have dated him if he'd run a flea circus for a living.

My cousin is a ginger redhead, his wife is south Indian. They live in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta and no one there bats an eye.

There's a ton of Indian businesses and restaurants near North DeKalb Mall, but you should live in Midtown.

I don't care of White men with Indian women, that can happen in Augusta, White men can date whoever they want without issues.

The issue comes in when a minority decides to date a White woman.

I hear of so many Indian doctors and none of them are with White women ever which kind of makes me wonder what is going on.

FWIW, my husband is of Pakistani heritage (actually born in Iran) and I am blond and blue-eyed. We are longtime residents of Atlanta and I dont recall either of us getting any flak here.
