Any time you can get Bloomberg Business to talk repeatly about a story, something big is occurring. They are reporting that Atlanta Based ICE is offering to purchase the NYSE Euronet for 33 per share value around 8 billion. Bloomberg Business seemed to be appalled that a Atlanta company is doing it, and what will be the symbolic ramifications for the NYSE. I don't know what the symbolic effects will be for New York City, but Atlantans will definitely graduate into a different class by having some of the most iconic names in Coke Cola and NYSE to be bases here.

Interesting very interesting.....great move. But does that mean the crazies will target Atlanta now? It seems some crazy group always has a bomb plot against New York

It's big, but it is just a change in ownership. I seriously doubt the NYSE's trading floor will move to CNN Center anytime in the future.

The electronic trading platform could move, but I cannot imagine the iconic trading floor coming here. It might make plenty of sense, but I cannot imagine it happening. I am sure the members of the exchange would not want to relocate to Atlanta.

Not unless the stock exchange actually moves to Atlanta and becomes the Atlanta Stock Exchange.
