So it looks like they aren't doing double frequencies at all anymore? Seems like a downgrade in service honestly. I believe they're doing a daily A380 right now, and they aren't even managing to have that level of service in the middle of summer, with 4 of the 7 weekly flights occurring on the 77W. Oh well, always cool to see a 747 regardless. And we can't complain about Summer 2016, given that Qatar and Turkish start service--terminal F should be a beautiful sight in the late afternoon.

Alaska Airlines Resumes Seasonal Portland – Atlanta Service from June 2016 | Airline Route

Alaska will have summer seasonal service between Atlanta and Portland. Always nice to see a second carrier add one of these marginal on-again off-again routes (like Aeromexico from Mexico City); just wish it were a permanent add rather than seasonal!

I'm actual amaze Korean Air is still operating some of its larger aircraft to Atlanta since the ever weakening relationship with Delta continues. I guess it shows Atlanta strong Korean Population. I wonder if China Eastern will give the Shanghai route a run again. It should fair much better since passengers would be able to use China Eastern Shanghai hub, which Delta did not have that options when its route failed twice. Yes any new metal beside Delta aircraft is a welcome site, Qatar and Turkish routes should do well.

Delta upgrading a couple routes:

Atlanta - Buenos Aires going from 767-400 to A330 (293 seats instead of 246)
Atlanta - Dublin (seasonal) going from 767-300 to A330 (293 seats instead of 211)

Baby steps towards ATL having a ton of newer widebody aircraft serving second-tier markets such as these. Gotta love seeing a bunch of A330s lined up instead of clunkier 767s at the very least.

Big news today!

The biggest:

JetBlue plans to launch flights to Atlanta | www.ajc.com

SIXTEEN daily Jetblue flights to Atlanta! This will be a massive gain to the airport.

Second, Delta got it's daily frequency to Havana approved. Nice!

Oh wow JetBlue! 16 flights Delta's response should be interesting. Lol gates on concourse D not big enough. They don't fly wide bodies but probably desire concourse T gates.

Right. They do have E190, A320 & A321, but not a widebody aircraft. Last time they tried ATL-OAK/LGB over decades ago. Due to competition against Delta & AirTran and that's why they pulled out of ATL completely.

Good news, I liked JetBlue when I was in NY, hopefully they can be competitive.

Glad to see the Havana got approved, want to go there soonish.

Really wish ATL went direct to Iceland, one of the few destinations that is certainly within range that could be possible, particularly considering other smaller airports go there, Orlando, Boston, DC, NY, Minneapolis to name a few.
