Not very surprising. Delta has a ton of 321s on order as it is. Plus they seem to have moved away from Boeing to some degree.

Good, I like flying in the 321 so much more than the 737. Wider and taller fuselage makes it a more comfortable plane to sit in and move around.

I think Delta is inadvertently making a political and economic statement Boeing. While Delta will never admit that and can hid behind flowery press releases. Undoubtedly Delta can’t be please with Boeing attempt to block the Canadian aircraft purchase with 300% tariffs.

...And Canada has canceled it's order for 18 Super Hornet fighter jets from Boeing and made it clear that Boeing will be at a disadvantage in it's coming selection process for 88 new fighter jets if they keep up the tariffs.

Boeing is losing their trade war.

I think people need to admit that there’s no such thing as a free market. Governments everywhere assist their own companies. I think Boeing needs to move past. Have they not heard of the Import-Export Bank?

Delta skillful and tactful spoke very loudly with this Airbus order. Some executives at Boeing must feel dumb this morning. I think they forgot that Delta executives are smart as heck.

I've always been a big Boeing fan, but Ive been flying on a lot of A320's & 321's lately and they've really grown on me. They are slightly roomier than the new 737's, and the legroom in the Economy + section up front just seems better. This includes Delta, jetBlue & United.

Glad to see this larger aircraft substitute. It must mean good demand.

Doha – Atlanta eff 25MAR18 777-300ER to operate on daily basis, instead of -200LR (The -300ER occasionally operates this route on selected dates)

Now they're switching again, this time to an A350-900. A downgrade from the -300ER (283 seats instead of 358 seats), but bigger than the -200LR (259 seats). Cool to see one of the most modern airplanes calling on ATL though.
