Just wondering what other Metro Atlanta schools teacher to student ratios are ? We heard the ridiculous number of 34 student to 1 teacher at our Neighborhood meeting by the Principal of our local middle school. This school is Brown Middle School is in Atlanta Public School system. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to put pressure on the Board to make changes?

Get a group of parents together and go down to the board and don't leave until they make changes.

We are zoned for Brown but my 6th grader goes to a charter. If they were going to raise the class sizes so high, they should not have closed Kennedy.

I would probably put a call in to the media if I were you. That is a ridiculous number in light of the fact that they closed Kennedy due to low enrollment and sent all those kids to Brown.

Higher student to teacher ratios decreases the quality of education. Students will not thrive in large classes and will less student-to-teacher interactions. Decrease the student to teacher ratio and have smaller classes or find a better school that can quality education.

They are also having problems with the different cultures of the neighborhood with the school merger. Thanks for the Advice.
