Ugh, more superhero movies. Are people not tired of these yet? Maybe it was crew I ran with, but comic books and superheros were never popular with my friends or acquaintances. I trended nerdy too. Even Dragoncon doesn't have a huge superhero presence. Where is this demand coming from?

At least it will likely have some positive local impact.

You too? When "The Avengers" came out, I swear that I couldn't go two minutes without somebody talking about it like it was the greatest film ever made. I never understood the appeal. Maybe I'm just that guy.

You could probably get a New Yorker to move here.... but that would probably mean losing the opportunity to quickly advance in their career.
I don't know if you meant your line to be funny, but it is. You said, "you could probably get a New Yorker to move here."

According to a recent census study, there are about 350,000 New Yorkers in GA.

And the figure for Californians in GA is about 200,000.

There are well over a million people living in GA who were born in other countries.

So, unless all of these people in GA are "country bumpkins, too, I think people who use that stereotype these days appear intellectually lazy.

If they film it in Fayetteville, I bet you'll change your tune.

"According to the Motion Picture Association of America, the film and television industry is responsible for more than 77,900 jobs -- $3.8 billion in total wages paid -- in Georgia. Companies such as Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Disney, Sony, and Universal paid $696 million to 4,066 local businesses in Georgia in 2012.

Most productions are hiring people already located in Georgia and paying vendors already in the state instead of bringing in people from out of state, according to a
video created by the Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Office to share the impact the industry has had on the state..."
