-I didn't say anything bad about Clemson. I largely evaded that and focused on Singapore. I even said I would probably go there over going to Singapore.

-I'm defending Singapore at how quickly you snubbed it just because it is far away and you don't know anything about it.

-I have been there... I grew up in the South and it isn't that far away. Ironic, huh? I chose to not go there, but I have a few old friends and acquaintances that did.

Clemson better than UGA? Now you're just dreaming....
I notice you like to tell me what I need to do, how I need to act. I think that I think just fine.

I think Clemson is better for engineering, architecture, and science. I'll give UGA the liberal arts and business majors although it doesn't seem like these kind of programs could be better at one college than another, and I think they have some professional programs like vet school so they win there too.

People like to put things in categories. You see this big time when colleges are discussed.

You might have been to Clemson but that doesn't mean you know much about it. You are obviously going to cheerlead for a college in your state over one not in your state though. Athens might fit your politics more too so that will bias you more to UGA but doesn't have anything to do with the college.

I think if you asked most people around the country which is better, UGA or Clemson, most will consider it a tossup. UGA probably has more name recogntion because Athens has a decent music scene and a lot of people think Clemson is a private school.

Clemson might beat UGA out as a "party school" though. I think it's been in top 2, top 3 in the past. So isn't all bad depending on your perspective. LOL

And I notice you keep making generalizations about places, people, and other posters without real knowledge of them... continually again and again.

You're asking for people to correct you.

In this very post you just did it again.

Ok, well you ought to talk about UGA rather than analzye me. I don't care what you think. You aren't qualified to judge me.

How do I know what your knowledge is other than your assertions? You def. are not an expert on Clemson and I doubt you really know that much about the Singapore university which is why you were talking about Singapore instead. I had no idea that somebody emotionally attached to U. of Singapore was going to read my post and be offended. It was a joke, maybe a bad one, why make it more than that. I don't understand certain types of people.

I think we have kind of beat this horse to death now though.

All I'm saying is learn to not make assumptions on things/people you don't know.

It's been you doing that all along.

I'm not drawing hard lines in the sand on most points, merely defending against yours.

I will judge peoples arguments on their merits. Its been your arguments I'm judging, not you.... but that goes back to logic.

If that troubles you, then you need to to be more careful with your haphazard arguments/jokes/logic... whatever you want to call it.

And for the record you didn't offend me personally, but it was a very poor judgement/argument you made discussing these issues.

But I will say in this whole dialogue we've had you continually make assumptions about me, my experiences, marta guy and his experiences, and other types of populations.... It has been a common trend in your arguments. It wasn't that one ill-formed "joke."

I think the silent majority on this forum, the lurkers who read these threads without commenting, have sided with me over you and others in this debate. I am their gladiator.

I think you are playing the victim a little bit. Maybe I was too. MARTA Fan made a nasty comment about Clemson so you can hardly make him out as a victim and I thought my retort was piercing yet classy.

Some of them will weigh in to validate me. Most people who read posts on here don't post comments. They are just looking for information and wisdom.

These people are always my target audience.

You don't count as a lurker, a member of the Silent Majority, the best among us, if you have 2564 posts on here.

You really need to be under 20 posts or so to qualify as a lurker.

There more important point is

-This is not a contest

-Anyone looking for internet lurkers (or non-lurkers) for validation is just down-right sad...

-Even sadder... having to assume it is there

I'm really at a lose for words here. I'm not quite sure what to say
