Doesn't have to be steakhouse. Entertaining clients.

Stoney River is probably your best bet. There's also Pampas Steakhouse - Johns Creek-Alpharetta Steakhouse Ranks Among the Best Restaurants in Atlanta but the atmosphere there is a bit dark, quiet and somewhat uppity so it's probably better suited for a date vs. dining with clients.

No way on Stoney River. People take their kids to eat there. Not very good ambiance in my opinion. However, Viande Rouge is great. Right on 141. My husband's company entertains clients there. I think they have a private back room. One of our favorites for a special occasion.

Or their sister restaurant in the same plaza is Trattoria 141- supposed to be great italian but we haven't eaten there yet.

IN MY OPINION - I personally think Viande Rouge is not worth the money. The decor is dark and heavy and I think the food is overpriced. That having been said, we have friends who like it a lot. (Ain't it great we all don't like the same thing?!?!) Stoney River, in my opinion, is the better bet for the price and has a livelier atmosphere, but, it's no Hal's, Chop's or Bone's. On the other hand, Trattoria 141 is the best Italian restaurant I've visited in Atlanta. I highly recommend it!

Yes, it is good we all have different likes. I'll definitely have to try Trattoria 141 soon. But my momma is italian so it's hard for me to get good italian food anywhere. Have you tried Rosa Mia on Jones Bridge? It is very small and the owners are from New Jersey and italian. Very very good as well.

We had our anniversary dinner at Chop's and that was great too. I didn't notice any big price difference between Viande Rouge and Chop's but we only frequent a place like that on a special occasion so I don't usually care that much about how much I'm spending esp. after a bottle of vino!

If you don't mind driving a bit, Brookwood Grill in Roswell (on Holcomb Bridge).

Stoney River used to be great. Now it is just "pretty good".

I actually like Pampas Argentinean Steakhouse. You also have the option of Vinny's on Windward or Bistro VG.

Vino is the great equalizer! Yes, Rosa Mia is excellent. I like it because you walk in the place with no great expectations, and then you taste their food and are pleasantly surprised. By the way, would your momma consider consider adopting me - at least at dinner time?
