Now with this said, isn't it said that God helps those who help themselves.

I just have to question how our politicians can go to God for rain when:
To name a few,
* They have done nothing to stop out of control development to date
* They have done nothing to stop 30 day unlimited developer water permits
* Until recently was building ski slops in GA?
* Etc.

I don't know, it's just everytime I see politicians praying I cannot help to laugh and shake my head. Almost reminds me of Satan asking God for guidance
The fact that the Bible--the book Matthew, I believe--is clear about NOT making a public spectacle of your prayers, suggests to me that Sonny's prayer stunt was pure political theatre.

What a buffoon.

Default Scared!

I have to agree, Sonny can do as he chooses. I won't cause a huge riot over the praying. But I am scared, really scared that's all he can come up with! His latest idea...a contest for 3rd-5th graders to solve the drought. Glad I still have my house in MI, so I can head back when the water's gone!!!

Maybe he's just trying out for that "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" game show with Jeff Foxworthy. LOL
