there is a four story building at the southwest corner of Ponce and Spring, directly across from the Varsity that's been covered in construction sheeting (what is that stuff called? for some reason i can't think of the word now) for about a month. they've occasionally had scaffolding up the sides of the building. it's a building with a one or two story deck and some offices or apartments above it. it looks like it was built in the 80s or 90s but it was designed to fit in with older brick buildings.

i was hoping that they were totally redoing the building and maybe even putting some retail on the ground floor, but no one seems to know what's going on with the building. does anyone have any idea?

The building you're talking about is the office/classroom complex for the All Saints' Episcopal Church. Looks like they're rehabbing the exterior of it.

As mentioned it is the Church's property. A while back they renovated the empty store fronts and put up for lease signs, now they are probably just continuing with their improvements.
