The coyotes (far more plentiful in TX than GA) have had no effect on culling the pig population here. I would put my money on the pig in this battle.

Agreed. A wild hog is a force to be reckoned with.

When I think of wild pigs in Dekalb County, first thought that comes to mind is everyone in government/police office.

It's not like this is the odd black bear coming down out of the mountains every so often, these things will multiply quickly and have no natural predators.

DeKalb might have a lot of reasons to be trashed, but a wild pig population out of control doesn't care where it is. Georgia needs to get this mess under control before it is too late.
I understand what you're saying, and you're right the pig problem is not a problem specific to Dekalb County. However, the part I could not get ready for was when the mother called DEKALB's animal control (or whatever name they go by) and they told her they did not handle pigs. I mean are you kidding me? I have an aggressive, prehistoric-looking wild boar in my yard. If you don't handle it then connect me to who does. I'm not Annie Oakley - how do you expect me to resolve this situation? Send the zoo to come retrieve it or swat to come kill it, but don't just blow me off .

We watched that story last night on the news!

My husband wants to go visit his cousin in Lithonia and go pig hunting lol.

But seriously, that pig was HUGE!!! I would have been scared sh**less seeing that thing running around my neighborhood. I hope they can get this under control before the pigs reproduce out of control.
