I was at the game last night. Great atmosphere, but I must admit they overdid the chop. It no longer has the meaning it used to, they literally did it inbetween every player. I honestly think the main reason to do this "Choptober" thing and hand out Tomohawks every game and do the chop all game is to literally annoy the opposing team so much that they lose focus.

They should only use it when the Braves do something good..

I'm hoping they pull it out but I've been a Braves fan long enough to know better than to get my hopes up.

Oh yes, the Chop was way overdone last night. Very distracting and annoying. When they would stop encouraging the Chop with that warpath music (or whatever you call it) played over the PA system, there was impressive electricity in the air and good crowd noise. I also thought it was weird how they encouraged the Chop mainly when Atlanta players were at bat. I wonder if it bothers the batters.

Anyway, the Chop was irritating me so much that I almost created a poll asking if the Chop should be eliminated but, alas, I can't quite figure out how to set up a poll on C-D.

Its harder to sympathize with a $220m team having injury problems. Let's face it, the Dodgers have become the National League's New York Yankees in terms of bloated payroll.

Full disclosure: I'm a Red Sox fan. A BIG Red Sox fan.

Braves are done...we have a washed up 37 year old pitching for us tonight with no playoff experience in recent years, up against Kershaw. Our only hope is for our offense to be on fire tonight or Kershaw to still have fatigue from game 1.

Not a good day for Atlanta sports fans. Braves are out, Falcons are just about out and the season is only five games old. Sad day.....
