Ironically, if Atlanta were to ever get the Games again, Turner Field couldn't be used as a venue due to baseball being dropped from the program.

The only reason the stadium at Morris Brown is deteriorating is because the school went broke. Prior to the demise of the school, the stadium was immaculately kept. It's a real shame that one of the other AUC schools didn't get it, but at the time it made the most sense since Morris Brown was moving in to Division I sports and needed a bigger stadium than CAU or Morehouse who are content remaining in Division II. You failed to mention however that both Clark (their football stadium was used for field hockey) and Morehouse (their basketball area was used for preliminary basketball matches) are still in use and well kept.

IMO Atlanta is the only city that is able to have the Olympics logistically.

yes because the olympic spirit will be dead soon... i.e. people will stop caring about the olympics. With increasing technolog and with our economy so globalized now, nationalism has become less important around the world.

With less people caring about the olympics, I think a city like atlanta could easily be a host again.

By the way, the volleyball venue in Clayton County is still in use & well maintained in a park owned by that county accessed off of state route 138 as well as from Walt Stevens Road. I live a mile & a half away from that park & overall it gets great seasonal usage, including some serious volley ball play.
