An interstate itself does not do that much damage to land values, large parking lots are much worse. Glenwood Park is right next to the interstate, which was cited by the mayor as an inspiration for the redevelopment of the Ted.

I don't think it's legal to be an escort (at least the part they do outside accompanying people to events). Also we can gamble via the GA lottery. Then again this state didn't even allow alcohol sales on Sunday until recent history.

I thought only a permit was needed to be an escort?

Well I'd still rather have these backward laws verses laws in other states. At least we are not a community property state and a lifetime alimony state. In California you have to pay alimony for life if you divorce your spouse after 10 years. In Va it is illegal to have oral sex.

This. I don't see how a new ballpark with the latest bells and whistles can counter a significant trend in recent decades: Baseball is nowhere near as popular as it used to be. Soccer is taking over at the youth level, and football is far more popular than baseball.

People need to support our Braves. Empty seats for a team with 100+ wins is a real shame. Every game should have been a full house. If the people here had supported the team, they probably would not be moving. If every family in Atlanta went to just 2 games a year, they would have had the support they needed at Turner.

Don't chock in the post season, every year, and maybe fans will come to the ballpark.

Whats so wrong with it? Legalizing gambling and opening a Harrah's worked out very well for New Orleans. It resulted in the cleanup of a heretofore shabby area and created a significant source of revenue for the city.

I wonder if anybody in Cobb has asked Georgia Power about the new Braves stadium. I wonder if Georgia Power has enough left over capacity at the serving substation to provide the megawatts of power this thing will need or are we going to have to put up with them adding ugly transmission towers and wires from Marietta. This is something that should concern residents between the Georgia Power main switchyard in Marietta on Noon Day Church Rd and this new stadium because Georgia Power has the right to absolute eminent domain. They just take your property and if you live next to the path of their towers, well tough for you. They had to string new towers in Atlanta when the aquarium opened.

If your going to legalize it. Legalize it everywhere. But don't try to force it all on one select area.
