Anyone have a reputable source for the claim that the pipeline runs through that property? Weird that I can't get a single news item on it using the google.

Because a major gas distributor, Colonial Pipeline, has a pipeline running through some of the property, the project will have a significant environmental impact on the North Georgia region.
Braves move hits snag

WSBTV had a video about it too. Basically, moving it is the easy part. Conducting all the environmental studies and making sure the thing can be moved to wherever it will be moved is the hard part.

Can't find anything on WSBTV.com, either. It doesn't pass the sniff test that a prime 60 acre parcel zoned for "senior living" would be rendered undevelopable by a pipeline.

Here is a link to a brief intro to an interview with Southern Polytechnic State University professor Sam Beadles, chair of the Civil and Construction Engineering department about the challenges of moving the gas pipeline that runs through the property where the future Braves' stadium is slated to go:
WSB-TV calls on SPSU expertise re Braves stadium site pipeline

And here is a link to the interview with SPSU professor Sam Beadles on WSB:

The right-of-way for the gas pipeline (which shows up as a clearing between the trees on satellite images) can also be viewed on satellite images and street-level images (at the southwest corner of Circle 75 Parkway and Windy Ridge Parkway) on Google Maps:

it was embedded within a video whose title didn't reference the pipeline, so i didnt feel like watching them all to figure it out. it doesn't sound like it's that big a deal. just a lot of bureaucracy involved due to it being an environmental thing

Any time you get the environment involved there's a pretty good chance somebody will file a lawsuit to get an injunction.

I've wondered about that. They're gonna have to be really careful when digging. And I can't imagine the paperwork that it's gonna take to get through that alone.
Isn't there underground parking planned? 2000 spots.
