You are going to have traffic no matter what. There is no perfect place where everyone can drive right up to the front door 5 minutes before first pitch.

But with this option, there isn't a good solution to get people off the roads and onto high occupancy modes of transport, like a bus or a train.

With this option, as it stands, virtually everyone will arrive to the stadium in a car.

This is one of the dumbest things I have heard in months.

Either John Schuerholz is trolling us hard, or they have not considered what an unmitigated disaster traffic will become around the Cobb Cloverleaf. And where are they gonna build a new stadium 20 years after that, since this seems to be becoming par for the course around here?

Wow! This is shocking news.

The new location would be about 2 miles from my house.

I guess those red areas on the Southside will be even fewer come 2018. Screw us, right?

Interesting location -- it would be kinda cool if they could manage a game-day only ramp from 75 or 285 that shifted cars directly onto the interstates (a bit like the game day access from the East Campus parking deck).

Wonder if this will encourage Cobb County to join the rest of the area in a coordinated mass transit system?

So where are the out of state Braves fans and fans from the other teams going to stay? That area has a few hotels but not as many as downtown. When fans stayed at the hotels downtown they could take Marta to the stadium. Now if they stay downtown or at a Cobb county hotel all of them will have to drive to the new stadium

The Comments on the AJC say that Turner is in a Ghetto part of town, The few games I went to I never felt like I was in the ghetto. IF the Dome is about to be destroyed? Why not take the GA Dome lot and be near New Falcons Stadium and Philips Arena??

there should be a MARTA East-West Line that connects Doraville to the new Braves stadium. It would also connect at the Dunwoody MARTA station...

I know this will never happen

What an idiotic idea. Can you imagine working in Cumberland and trying to leave work at 5 on a gameday? No thank you...
