I would say Cheesecake factory is a good value for your dollar. Having worked in restaurants, it is possible to make all their recipes at home, cheaper and fresher. Most of that food is prepared 2 days in advanced and reheated for use that day. Cheesecake factory is very overrated.
Are you saying you can't kids to locally-owned Atlanta restaurants?

I'm just saying a lot of folks like having a place they know is in a safe area and a sure bet. If they are going out with the kids they don't necessarily want something edgy.

I wouldn't consider Mary Mac's as edgy or other local restaurants. I just know good quality food when I taste it and Cheesecake Factory is overrated.

You don't know what kind of people might come into Mary Mac's. Whereas the Cheesecake Factory is not known for hosting rough types.

You are outta your mind!
Mary Mac's is family owned restaurant. I guarantee you they would be quicker to throw people out, than a national chain restaurant. Mary Mac's is a very reputable establishment.
Are you saying that most people will go with a nationally recognizable brand, than local flavor?

Yea. Mary Mac's has averages noticeably classier clientele than the Cheesecake factories I have been to where people show up in shorts and t-shirts.

I'm curious what the crime rate is right around there. With so many parking lots and plenty of run down apartments off Spring Rd, my bet is that it isn't a whole lot better than most parts of Atlanta. But I may be wrong there.

Well, at least I got a restaurant to try out of this conversation. I checked out their menu, Mary Mac's | Southern Dining, and noticed they have fried green tomatoes. If you fry them, I will come. I'd also like to try their grilled trout which isn't that popular of a fish around these parts.
