The mayor says the objective is to make Oakhurst safer for pedestrians and bicyclists, but the project's been so long in the making, many newer residents (and there are plenty) won't know what the heck is going on..."

I know people laugh at yuppie moms and dads but honestly, I think kids and young families are a sign that a community is healthy and growing.

That's how I remember Oakhurst back in the 1950s. It was a great place to raise a family.
